Dubizzle Group Partners with Tern to Modernize the Rental Experience
Jun 19, 2026 | By Startup Rise

Dubizzle Group, one of the Middle East’s leading online classifieds companies, has announced a strategic partnership and investment in Tern, the UAE’s first rental rewards platform.
This partnership aims to make rent payments easier, more flexible, and more rewarding for tenants, landlords, and real estate agents across the UAE.
As part of the deal, Tern will be integrated exclusively into Bayut and dubizzle. Through the platform, tenants can pay their rent using a credit card and earn Tern Rewards points at no extra cost. These points can be redeemed for travel, shopping, electronics, and various lifestyle rewards.
For tenants, Tern turns rent—one of the biggest monthly expenses—into an opportunity to earn valuable rewards. The platform also provides greater flexibility in managing rent payments without hidden fees or additional charges.

For landlords, property managers, and agents, Tern offers a faster and fully digital rent collection process. It also helps make rental properties more attractive by providing tenants with a convenient and rewarding payment option, which can improve tenant satisfaction and retention.
Dubizzle Group’s investment in Tern reflects its goal of creating a stronger property ecosystem that supports users beyond just property search and discovery.
Commenting on the partnership, Haider Ali Khan, CEO of Dubizzle Group UAE, said:“At Bayut and dubizzle, our focus has always been on solving real challenges across the property journey, which extends beyond just helping people find a home. Rent is one of the largest recurring expenses for most households, yet the payment experience has traditionally offered very little flexibility or added value. In Tern, we found the most compelling solution to address this industry challenge, led by an exceptional founding team with a clear vision. Our partnership offers renters a more convenient and rewarding way to manage their rental payments, while also creating new opportunities for landlords and agents across the UAE. It is another step towards building a more connected, user-focused property ecosystem. ”
The investment is made through Dubizzle Group Ventures, the Group's dedicated venture capital arm focused on early-stage technology startups across the GCC. Surya Raviganesh, who leads Dubizzle Group's investments, added: "We are on the lookout for aspirational founders building scalable, and innovative business models that create unique value around our property, automotive and consumer marketplaces. Half the population of the UAE uses one of our platforms every month, and there are material synergies by partnering with businesses that can benefit from our highly engaged audience."
Founded in 2024 by Said Al Sayyed and Mohamad Shaitou, Tern has quickly grown into the UAE’s first rental rewards platform, handling more than AED 150 million in annual rent payments through its system. The platform brings together tenants, landlords, banks, and merchants in one rewards network, making rent payments more convenient, digital and rewarding for everyone involved.
