The round was entirely primary equity, with no debt or secondary transactions.

Ema was founded in 2023 by Surojit Chatterjee and Souvik Sen. Its platform, which the company describes as “AI employees,” coordinates multiple AI agents to handle business processes across existing enterprise applications.
The company has more than 50 active enterprise deals and over 1 million active enterprise users. Its customers include NTT DATA, Hitachi, ADP, PwC, Google, KPMG, Wipro, and Microsoft.
Ema has handled more than 5 million actions and queries. The company said its revenue has grown 50-fold over the past two years, while revenue bookings have surpassed $150 million.
Market and Business Growth
Ema has primarily focused on customers in the US and Europe. More than 90% of its customers have expanded beyond their initial use case, according to the company.
The startup has nearly 200 employees and said it maintains gross margins close to 80%. Its pricing is based on completed tasks and business outcomes rather than software seats or AI token usage.

With the new funding, Ema plans to increase its sales and marketing efforts and expand into new international markets. The company will also continue developing its AI agent platform for enterprise workflows.
