Led by Mela Ventures and Speciale Invest, spacetech startup GalaxEye Space has received $6.5 million in a fresh funding round.
ideaForge also participated in the round, and Rainmatter, Navam Capital, Faad Capital, and Anicut Capital made further investments.
According to a news release from the company, the money raised will be utilised to launch GalaxEye’s first satellite, the “Drishti Mission,” and forward the development of their multi-sensor payload technology.
Suyash Singh, Denil Chawda, Kishan Thakkar, Pranit Mehta, and Rakshit Bhatt founded the company in 2020. With their sophisticated multi-sensor payload, they specialise in supplying precise datasets from space and airborne platforms.

This technology delivers sensible dataāwhich is essential for industries including defence, surveillance, agriculture, insurance, and aquacultureāby integrating optical MSI and SAR sensors.

GalaxEye asserts that it has also successfully completed over 300 flights carrying a UAV SAR payload and built India’s first UAV SAR system for the defence market.
