Gold Coast Startup Sophiie AI Raises $3.56 Million to Build AI Platform for Tradies

The funding round values Sophiie AI at around $30 million (US$21.36 million) Investors in the round include Archangel Ventures, Admiralty Capital Group, Antler, Gandel Invest, and Aussie Angels.

Sophiie AI will use the new funding to improve its product, grow its team, and expand into international markets. The company plans to enter the US market later this year.

Jacob Banks, Co-Founder and CEO of Sophiie, said: “Trades businesses don’t have an admin problem because they’re badly run. They have an admin problem because they’re incredibly busy. A plumber, electrician or HVAC business might have dozens of jobs moving at once, tradies in the field and customers constantly calling, texting and asking for updates.”

“We started Sophiie to take that burden away. With our new platform, we’re going much further. We’re building an AI operating system that can sit at the centre of a service business and help manage the journey from the first customer enquiry through to getting the job done and getting paid.”

Founded in 2024 by Jacob Banks, Luke Kelleher, and Juan Castro , Sophiie AI is an Australian startup based on the Gold Coast. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help tradies and service businesses with their daily office work.

Its platform helps businesses handle tasks such as customer requests, job management, and other routine administrative work.

By automating these tasks, Sophiie AI helps tradies save time and focus more on their work and customers instead of spending hours on paperwork and administration.
