Bengaluru-based fintech startup GoodScore has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Peak XV Partners, with support from Stellaris Venture Partners and Saison Capital.
GoodScore will use this funding to improve its AI-powered advisory services, grow its technology, product, and operations teams, and enhance its credit marketplace to better connect borrowers with lenders.
Founded in 2023 by Sanchit Bansal, GoodScore helps users track and manage their credit health using AI-powered tools. The platform brings together credit bureau data, bank transactions, and spending records in one place.
With GoodScore, users can monitor their credit scores, manage payments, and understand their borrowing habits. The platform also provides guidance to improve scores and support for resolving disputes.
“We started GoodScore with the belief that managing credit shouldn’t be as stressful or confusing as it is today,” said Bansal. “We wish to change how Indians interact with credit by bringing every user’s credit life into one view, helping them understand their loans, track payments and make informed, data-driven financial decisions.”
“India has an active borrower base of over 250 million consumers. GoodScore is on a mission to empower them by putting them in charge of their credit health. They can track scores, take actionable steps to resolve bureau disputes and manage repayments seamlessly,” said Peak XV Partners managing director Ishaan Mittal.
Mayank Jain, Principal at Stellaris Venture Partners, said, “Having known Sanchit for over a decade, I have seen firsthand his deep customer-backwards orientation and product-first mindset. That conviction made it natural for us to back him from day zero.”
Since its launch, GoodScore has gained millions of users across India and works with HDFC Bank, KreditBee, and Tata Capital to offer credit services.
The company started earning revenue in FY24, reaching ₹2.5 crore compared to almost zero in FY23. However, its losses grew significantly, rising 7.7 times to ₹7 crore in FY24.
