PixVerse Raises $439M in Series C Extension, Valuation Surpasses $2B

Singapore-based AI video generation startup PixVerse has completed the extension of its Series C funding round, raising a total of $439 million. With the new investment, the company's valuation has grown to more than $2 billion.

PixVerse plans to use the new funding to expand its world model AI technology and grow its customer base in more countries around the world.

PixVerse completed its initial Series C funding round in March, led by CDH Investments. Although the company did not reveal the amount raised, Bloomberg reported that it was around $300 million.

The extension round attracted investors including Alibaba, Lollapalooza Capital, Ivy Capital, Grand Mount Capital, Eastern Bell Capital, Mirae Asset, BlueFocus, and CloudAlpha. Existing investors iGlobe Partners and OCBC's Lion X Ventures also participated again.

"We think the key difference is not in data, but how you label it, because data is available everywhere. My co-founder worked at ByteDance, where he built core visual understanding technology behind TikTok using AI. Using this tech, TikTok was able to label data accurately and build a strong recommendation algorithm. This experience comes in handy when building a video-generation platform," Xie said.

"Generative models have always had the potential to power experiences beyond what we are used to. What we are building now is the architecture to realize that. We are building a system where the world a player inhabits is not pre-rendered but continuously generated, in real time, in response to what they do. That is a fundamentally different foundation for what a game can be," said Changhu Wang, Co-Founder and CEO of PixVerse.

Founded in 2023 by Wang Changhu and Jaden Xie, PixVerse is a global AI video generation platform used by more than 150 million users and businesses in over 177 countries. It allows people to create high-quality videos from a text prompt, photo or video clip using its own AI models.

Its latest AI model, V6, offers advanced features such as accurate camera control, realistic character movements and cinematic-quality video output. It is designed for both individual creators and professional film production teams.
