Redcliffe Labs Acquires Megavision Diagnostics for Rs 40 Crore to Expand Imaging Services in Pune

Megavision operates two diagnostic centres in Pune that are equipped with MRI machines. Through the acquisition, Redcliffe will add advanced imaging services to its existing pathology network.

The acquisition will allow Redcliffe to offer both pathology and imaging services through one network. This will give patients access to a wider range of diagnostic tests in one place.

Megavision has been operating in Pune for more than 20 years. During this time, it has built a strong reputation among patients and doctors for its imaging and diagnostic services.

Redcliffe Labs will keep the entire Megavision workforce after the acquisition. The company said this will help ensure patients continue to receive the same level of care while Redcliffe expands its diagnostic services.

Dr Kedar Prabhakar Bhate will continue to lead Megavision Redcliffe Labs. He will also work with Redcliffe’s Clinical Board to improve radiology services and expand combined diagnostic services across Pune and nearby areas.

The acquisition is part of Redcliffe Labs’ larger plan to grow through acquisitions and partnerships across western India. Over the past year, the company has acquired Prime Sonography & Diagnostic Center in Kota and Sarvodaya Diagnostics in Ajmer. Both centres now operate under Redcliffe Medicentre Imaging & Labs.

Redcliffe Labs said it has served more than 1 crore customers and operates in over 220 cities. The company has more than 80 owned laboratories and covers over 4,000 pincodes, offering more than 3,600 diagnostic tests.

India’s diagnostics industry is seeing more consolidation as large companies use acquisitions to expand into new locations and add more services.

In May 2026, Dr Lal PathLabs acquired Mumbai-based Shahbazkers Diagnostic Centre for up to Rs 20 crore. During the same month, MedGenome acquired a majority stake in Mumbai-based Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre (SDRC).

Neuberg Diagnostics also acquired a controlling stake in Mumbai-based NM Medical, adding 18 centres across Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru.

These deals show that diagnostic companies are moving towards integrated platforms that offer pathology, radiology, imaging, genomics, and preventive healthcare. Larger companies are also using acquisitions to expand their presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
