 Regtech Firm Tookitaki Appoints Isabel Ridad as CEO as It Expands Across APAC

Singapore-based financial crime technology company Tookitaki has appointed its president, Isabel Ridad as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as the company plans to expand its presence across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

The company announced the leadership change on September 30. As part of the transition, Tookitaki founder Abhishek Chatterjee has moved into the role of Executive Chairman and Chair of the Board.

Isabel Ridad to Lead Tookitaki

As CEO, Isabel Ridad will take responsibility for Tookitaki's executive and operational activities.

Founder Abhishek Chatterjee will continue to guide the company's overall direction while focusing on its artificial intelligence strategy, board management and relationships with clients and regulators.

The leadership transition comes as Tookitaki continues to develop its business across APAC.

Tookitaki is a Singapore-based financial crime technology company that provides solutions for anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention.

The company says its platform is used by more than 30 financial institutions across the Asia-Pacific region. Its technology has monitored more than 100 billion transactions and 200 million customer accounts, according to the company.

Tookitaki's APAC Expansion Plans

Tookitaki plans to expand further across Asia Pacific through 2027. The company also expects to enter at least one additional market as part of its regional expansion strategy.

The company is operating in a market where financial institutions across APAC are facing increasing requirements around financial crime compliance and anti-money laundering controls.

Tookitaki's Investment

In October 2024, Tookitaki received a strategic investment from True Global Ventures.

The investment adds to the company's funding and investment history as it continues to develop its financial crime technology platform and expand its regional operations.
