
Samunnati, a company that supports growth in the agriculture sector, has raised ₹42.5 crore (about $5 million) in funding from Agri-Biz Capital Delaware LLC.
This is the first investment of the financial year 2025-26 and brings the total money raised in Series E funding to INR 381 crore.
Last year, Samunnati raised $135 million from various lenders. These included USDFC, Credit Saison, Tata Capital, Poonawalla Fincorp, Hinduja Leyland Finance, Wint Wealth, Altifi, Alteria Capital, and Anicut Capital.
Samunnati was started in 2014. It works to support the agriculture industry by providing tailored financial and other services to help farmers and businesses.
The company helps fill important gaps in farming by connecting farmers to markets, making it easier for them to get loans, and helping improve how farms produce crops.
The company works closely with groups of farmers (called Farmer Producer Organizations), small agricultural businesses, and agri-tech companies. It supports over 6,000 farmer groups and helps millions of small farmers across the country.
Samunnati is involved in more than 100 areas of agriculture and works in over 25 states across the country.
The company offers many services like working capital loans, help with trading, supply chain support, training for farmers, and assistance in finding markets for their products.
