Unilever Ventures led the seed round for skincare startup SkinInspired, which Secures Around $1.5 million. Arjun Vaidya, a co-founder of Dr. Vaidya, took part in the round as well.
The money raised will go towards bolstering the brand’s go-to-market strategy, strategic marketing endeavours, and research and development projects.
SkinInspired, a 2022 startup founded by dermatologist Dr Prashant Agrawal and FMCG veteran Piyush Jain, provides a carefully chosen selection of goods in four categories: face wash, face serum, sunscreen, and moisturizer—all based on skin type.

The company has also launched a refillable skincare range with airless pumps and jars that maintain product effectiveness and encourage sustainability.

Market research indicates that the skincare market in India is expected to reach $3 billion in 2023, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.6% expected in demand throughout the projected period.
