The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Announce two Year Partnership with Carsome

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and CARSOME announced a two-year collaboration by making CARSOME the Official Automotive Partner of FAM, thus strengthening their joint commitment to empowering Malaysian football.

This strategic partnership with CARSOME, Malaysia’s local automotive leader and Southeast Asia’s largest car e-commerce platform, aims to support FAM’s efforts in further strengthening the men’s and women’s national teams, thus creating another glorious year for national football.

This collaboration is a significant milestone in the effort to further develop Malaysian football and supports FAM’s initiative to expand the influence of the sport regionally by ensuring that the national team has sufficient resources to compete at the highest level. For CARSOME, this collaboration is part of the company’s efforts to nurture local talent and contribute to the overall development of Malaysian sports.

As part of this partnership, CARSOME will provide 15 vehicles over the next two years to ensure the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the management team, travel more smoothly and comfortably throughout the matches. Among the sponsored vehicles are the Proton X90 and X70, Mazda CX-5, Nissan Serena, BMW 3 Series, Volvo XC40, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Toyota Alphard.

In addition, CARSOME Academy, the education arm of CARSOME Group, is also offering exclusive discounts and referral incentives to National Team and FAM members for automotive TVET programmes, soft skills, and technical skills. This initiative aims to equip FAM players and staff with useful industry knowledge and practical skills, thus giving them the opportunity to also build careers outside of sports.

FAM President, Datuk Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub said, “FAM is pleased to announce its new collaboration with CARSOME, which is an effort that reflects our commitment to taking Malaysian football to a higher level. As the country’s leading automotive platform, FAM and CARSOME both share the same passion in pursuing excellence, innovation and community involvement where values are important not only in football but also in various aspects of life. Through this collaboration, FAM wants to continue to enhance the football experience for players, fans, and stakeholders by fostering initiatives that promote the development, accessibility, and support of the local football ecosystem.”

My co-founder Teoh Jiun Ee and I have a deep passion for football and understand the commitment required to compete at the highest level. At CARSOME, we believe in supporting the aspirations of Malaysians – be it in business, education, or sports. This partnership is not just about providing transportation; it is our effort in driving the national football champions by ensuring that the Malaysian team has the support and facilities they need to reach greater heights. We hope this collaboration will inspire more Malaysians to continue to stand behind the national team and celebrate their journey in the football arena.”

The agreement was signed by FAM Secretary-General Datuk Noor Azman Hj Rahman and CARSOME Co-Founder and CEO Eric Cheng. Also witnessing the signing session were FAM President Datuk Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub and CARSOME Academy Co-Founder and CEO Teoh Jiun Ee.
