The Wedding Company Raises $2.75 Mn in Seed Round

Wedding planning startup The Wedding Company has raised US$2.75 million (around Rs 25 crore) in a seed funding round led by Wellingdon Advisors LLP.

The funding round also received support from LVX, Tremis Capital, Synergy Capital Partners, and angel investors Vivek Mathur and Rahul Garg.

With the new investment, The Wedding Company plans to expand its presence in India's growing wedding industry.

The company will use the funds to increase its network of wedding vendors, improve its category management system, and enhance the range of services it offers to customers planning weddings.

“This fundraise validates our approach of combining technology with strong on-ground execution to deliver a superior and premium wedding planning experience,” cofounder and chief executive Pawan Gupta said.

Founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, The Wedding Company is a technology-driven wedding planning platform that helps couples organize their weddings. It offers services such as venue booking, décor, catering, photography and event logistics all in one place.

The platform works with more than 2,000 verified vendors across multiple cities and provides complete wedding planning services for both domestic and international weddings.

The company aims to simplify India's $130 billion wedding industry by bringing different wedding services together on a single platform, making the planning process easier and more organized for customers.

The Wedding Company has seen strong growth, with service orders increasing from ₹51 crore in FY25 to ₹115 crore in FY26, a growth of about 125%. The company is now targeting ₹350 crore in FY27 supported by an expected 1,500 new wedding bookings.
