
Uni Seoul, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) startup that sells Korean-inspired lifestyle and gifting products, has raised ₹35 crore (US$3.6 million) in a Series A funding round. The round was co-led by Riverwalk Holdings and Sauce.vc, with participation from Panthera Peak Ventures and several existing angel investors.
The company plans to use the new funding to open stores in premium malls and popular shopping areas across major Indian cities. It also aims to launch its products on quick-commerce platforms, strengthen its supply chain and expand its range of private-label products.
“With this capital, we get to do that at a scale we’ve always wanted: more SKUs, tighter VM standards across every store, and a product experience that’s consistent whether you’re walking into our Bengaluru flagship or discovering us on an online commerce platform,” cofounder Gaurav Karmani said.
Founded in 2023 by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana, Uni Seoul, a Pune-based startup follows an offline-first retail model and sells Korean-inspired lifestyle and gifting products. The company currently operates 15 stores across cities including Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Nashik.

Its product portfolio includes more than 1,000 items across categories such as plush toys, home décor, stationery, bags, travel accessories, beauty products, and gifts. Products are priced between ₹99 and ₹2,999.
As part of its expansion plans, Uni Seoul aims to grow its store network from 15 stores to more than 50 in the near future. Over the next five years, the company plans to establish 500 retail touchpoints through a combination of company-owned stores and franchise outlets.
The startup is also working to increase its presence on quick-commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart aiming to meet the growing demand for last-minute purchases and gifting products.
