Vena to Boost Growth of Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Across APAC

On Wednesday, Vena Global Group Pte Ltd announced the launch of a new company called Vena Nexus Group Pte Ltd. This new branch will focus on building data centers specially designed to support AI technology.

The company said on Wednesday that, as part of this move, it has shifted all work, staff, and projects related to AI data centers from its renewable energy branch, Vena Energy, to the new company, Vena Nexus.

This step shows Vena Group’s goal to build very large data center campuses that are closely connected to big renewable energy projects. They also plan to set up smaller data centers near their renewable energy sites.

As regular computing needs keep growing and AI requires more powerful and secure systems across Asia Pacific, Vena Nexus is a natural next step for us to build strong, AI-ready digital infrastructure.

“The establishment of Vena Nexus enables sharper execution, focused capital deployment, and dedicated partnerships while maintaining strong integration with Vena Energy as the power enabler behind our digital growth,” said Nitin Apte, Chief Executive Officer of Vena Group.

The statement said that Vena Nexus is taking over about 3 gigawatts (GW) of data center projects that Vena Energy started. This includes over 1 GW of AI data center projects that already have power, land, and permits ready.

The company has a team of 60 experts who specialize in data center development, digital technology, business planning, and investment.

The company also uses support from Vena Group’s larger team, which includes about 700 people working in development, construction, and operations, plus over 300 experts in areas like law, finance, ESG (environmental, social, and governance), buying, and other business roles.

By working closely with Vena Energy on combined digital and power solutions, Vena Nexus is in a strong position to build data centers in areas where power is limited and it’s hard for new companies to enter the market.

Vena Nexus is currently active in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It is also expanding into Thailand, South Korea, Australia, and other countries where Vena Group already operates in the Asia Pacific region.

Vena Nexus builds both large AI-focused data center campuses and smaller local data centers. These are specially designed to handle regular computing needs, AI training and usage, real-time data processing, and fast computing — providing strong performance exactly where it’s needed.

“Vena Nexus is purpose-built to deliver next-generation green digital infrastructure, where compute and renewable power are co-designed from the ground up,” said Simone Grasso, Chief Investment Officer of Vena Group and Global Head of Vena Nexus.

“We focus on combining powerful data centers with reliable energy solutions, helping our clients grow their AI work in places where space and sustainable energy are hard to find,”

“This platform allows us to move with speed and clarity across development, engineering, and commercial engagement, while anchoring our strategy in long-term infrastructure value,” he added.

The statement says that the need for green and energy-saving data centers, which are important for regular computing and AI, is growing faster than ever before.

Vena Nexus is ready to help lead this change by building and running new, eco-friendly digital centers across the Asia-Pacific region.
