VinMetal Partners With Danieli to Produce Railway Steel for Vietnam’s Infrastructure Projects

VinMetal Signs Steel Production Equipment Agreement With Danieli

On October 15, 2026, VinMetal Production and Trading Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vingroup, announced the agreement with Danieli for the supply of core equipment for its rail and structural steel rolling line.

Under the agreement, Danieli will design, manufacture, supply, and commission the equipment required for the production line. The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the deal.

The collaboration is part of VinMetal’s strategy to develop specialised steel products for transportation infrastructure, industrial projects, and logistics facilities.

Steel Production Line to Support Railway Infrastructure

The planned production line will have an annual capacity of more than 700,000 tonnes. VinMetal expects its output to serve several infrastructure segments, including high-speed railways, urban rail systems, bridges, ports, and industrial construction projects.

Railway steel requires strict control over dimensions, straightness, mechanical strength, and wear resistance. Structural steel used in bridges and industrial facilities must also meet technical requirements for load-bearing capacity and dimensional accuracy.
