Global asset management Barings has given Permaconn credit, while Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast has chosen Otoklix as its service provider for Indonesian consumers.
According to an announcement, VinFast, a Vietnamese manufacturer of electric vehicles (EVs), has teamed with Otoklix in Indonesia to act as its authorized service provider for clients in that nation.
To meet the pressing demand for a workforce knowledgeable in EVs, Otoklix, an AC Ventures portfolio firm, recently opened an academy devoted to teaching mechanics the nuances of EV servicing.

It was founded in 2019 by Martin Suryohusodo, serves as a conduit between car owners and Indonesia’s dispersed independent auto workshop industry. In an investment round supported by Alpha JWC Ventures and AC Ventures in 2021, it raised $10 million.
VinFast declared in January that it would develop an electric car production plant and distribute vehicles in Indonesia for a minimum of $1.2 billion over an extended period of time.

According to the company, an EV plant with an estimated yearly manufacturing capacity of 30,000–50,000 vehicles will be established in Indonesia with an investment of roughly $200 million.
The expansion plan was unveiled concurrently with an update to Indonesia’s EV transition road map by the Ministry of Industry, which now aims to build 600,000 electric cars in the nation by 2025.
