Brisbane-based fintech startup Flyweel has raised AU$2.41 million (US$1.7 million) in a pre-seed funding round. The company is building a platform that helps businesses manage and finance their digital advertising expenses.
The funding round was led by Ten13. Other investors in the round included Antler, QIC, and angel investor Koen Köppen, who is the CEO of Mollie.
Flyweel plans to use the new funding to grow its operations and improve its platform. The company aims to provide financial tools that help businesses deal with cash flow challenges that often arise from the timing of digital advertising payments and returns.
Scheckter previously built a lead generation business and successfully sold it. During his career, he managed more than $40 million in advertising spend. His experience with the challenges of managing advertising budgets inspired him to create Flyweel.

Founded in 2025 by Reuben Scheckter and Matteo Calo, Flyweel is an Australian fintech company that helps businesses manage and finance their digital advertising spending. Its platform is designed to make it easier for companies to invest in advertising without putting too much pressure on their cash flow.
Flyweel connects a company's customer relationship management (CRM) systems with its accounting software. This gives businesses a clearer picture of how their advertising spending is performing and how it affects their finances.
Rather than viewing advertising as just a regular expense, Flyweel helps businesses treat it as an investment in growth. This allows companies to expand their marketing activities while reducing the risk of cash flow and liquidity problems.
