
Agile Robots has acquired a majority stake in XNG Automation, an Indian company that provides factory automation and intralogistics automation solutions.

Through this partnership, Agile Robots plans to grow its robotics and automation business in India by using XNG Automation's local market knowledge, strong customer network, and expertise in integrating automation systems.
Agile Robots was founded in 2018 as a spin-off from the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). The company develops AI-powered robotics solutions and has deployed more than 20,000 robotic systems worldwide.
Its robotics solutions are used in industries such as consumer electronics and automotive. Some of its key products include the Agile Hand robotic gripper and the Agile ONE industrial humanoid robot.

XNG Automation, based in Bengaluru, has around 200 employees. The company provides factory automation, machine vision, and system integration solutions for industries like automotive, electric vehicles, and consumer electronics. Its customers include leading companies such as Bosch and Toyota.

With this investment, Agile Robots will combine its AI-powered robotics technology with XNG Automation's expertise in system integration to provide better automation solutions for customers in India.
The acquisition also strengthens Agile Robots' presence in India. It follows the company's expansion in 2024, when it opened a manufacturing facility in Chennai and its regional headquarters in Bengaluru.
