Bloomspoon, a startup based in the UAE that makes eco-friendly products, got an investment offer of AED 800,000 during the third season of Shark Tank Dubai.
The deal was made in exchange for 49% of the company’s shares by Tawfiq Kreidiyeh, the CEO and co-founder of The Brands for Less (BFL Group), a top retail company in the region.
Bloomspoon plans to grow by making more products, selling in new markets, opening more stores, and working toward getting B Corp certification.
Bloomspoon is the first brand in the world to create plantable tableware and reusable pots made from wheat straw. Each item contains a small seed capsule that dissolves in water. After using the tableware, you can plant it to grow herbs like basil or mint, turning what would be waste into something green and useful.
The company is focused on reducing reliance on single-use plastics and promoting recycling.
