DeepX Closes $11 Mn from Samsung Securities and SVIC

Korean fabless AI semiconductor startup DeepX has Closes 14.7 billion Korean won, which is about $11 million by issuing new shares. Samsung Securities and SVIC 33rd a venture investment fund run by Samsung Venture Investment backed this move.

DeepX’s board approved the share allotment on October 7. The investment was announced on October 8 2026.

Samsung Securities and SVIC Invest in DeepX

With the share issuance Samsung Securities will invest about 7.5 billion won, which equals $5.63 million. SVIC 33rd will invest about 7.2 billion won, which equals $5.4 million.

Samsung Securities and SVIC 33rd will together buy 42,350 common shares of DeepX. DeepX will receive payment on October 22.

SVIC 33rd is run by Samsung Venture Investment, a Samsung Group investment company. This company focuses on technology businesses, such as startups that work on semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

The names of the investors in SVIC 33rd have not been revealed.

DeepX Develops Low-Power AI Chips

DeepX started as a semiconductor company. DeepX makes processing units or NPUs that are meant to run AI inference tasks.

DeepX’s technology is for on-device AI. Edge AI. That means DeepX’s chips do AI work near the device not in the cloud. DeepX wants to give AI chips that use power but keep high efficiency.

The newest investment is the share allotment in DeepX’s fourth round of capital increase.

Previous Funding and Industry Partnerships

DeepX earlier Closes $80.5 million in Series C funding in 2024. At that time DeepX was valued at about $529 million.

DeepX has also partnered with Rambus and Samsung Foundry. They work together on tech that helps edge AI inference run

DeepX also made a mass‑production deal with AAEON, a firm that makes computing solutions. DeepX says it has received 27 orders from eight countries in just seven months after starting mass production.
