Emversity Acquires Lanstitut to Expand Global Healthcare Hiring

Emversity, a platform that focuses on skills training and hiring, has acquired Kerala-based healthcare startup Lanstitut Technologies for around $4.25 million through a mix of cash and shares. This is Emversity’s first acquisition.

After the deal, Lanstitut will continue to operate under its existing brand, and all four co-founders will remain in their current roles.

Emversity recently raised $30 million in a Series A funding round in January. The round was led by Premji Invest, with support from Lightspeed and Z47.

The company is now using this money to grow its platform and expand into new areas.

“For the last few years, Emversity has been building one side of the talent marketplace — Indian supply for Indian demand. What Lanstitut lets us do is open up new demand destinations for the same supply,” Sinha said.

This acquisition will help Emversity connect trained healthcare workers from India with job opportunities in other countries, starting with Germany.

Lanstitut already helps Indian nurses learn the German language and supports them in getting jobs at hospitals in Germany.

Founded in 2022, Lanstitut has trained about 3,000 nurses and has a team of around 200 employees. It helps people work abroad by providing support like language training, certifications, visa processing, and relocation assistance.

This comes at a time when Germany is facing a big shortage of healthcare workers, especially nurses, and the demand is expected to increase in the coming years.
