FOMO Pay Partners with Sumsub to Strengthen Compliance Across Markets

A payment company based in Singapore called FOMO Pay has joined forces with Sumsub, a company from London that focuses on checking identities and making sure rules are followed. This is to make their rules and checks stronger as they go into areas.
This cooperation will bring Sumsubs tools for checking identities checking businesses looking into who owns things checking for money laundering and watching transactions into the tech that FOMO Pay already uses.
FOMO Pay is active in Southeast Asia, the Greater Bay Area and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Since the rules can be different in each area the company is adding Sumsubs tools to help with its way of making sure rules are followed.
How Will FOMO Pay Use the Tools from Sumsub?
FOMO Pay will use Sumsub to check customers and businesses when they sign up. The system will also help with checking who owns the business and looking for money laundering.

The company will also use Sumsubs tools to check transactions and activity in accounts for any problems. These tools will work with the existing way FOMO Pay handles rules and checks not replace it.
Sumsubs system can handle than 14,000 types of identity papers from over 220 countries and places. Its Liveness technology is also made to help spot videos during the checking process.
Why Is Following Rules Getting More Important?
Companies that deal with money are facing smart attacks, including those that use computers that think like humans.
A report from Sumsub called the Identity Fraud Report 2025-26 said that attacks that use computers that think like humans went up by 180% around the world in 2025 compared to the year. The report also found that fake videos went up by 158% in Singapore and 147% in Hong Kong.
For FOMO Pay this partnership is happening as they keep working in places with different rules.

"As financial services become more connected between places companies need technology and rules systems that can change as their work grows " said Leona Gan, who is in charge of business growth at FOMO Pay.
She said that working with Sumsub gives FOMO Pay abilities for checking people and following rules as the company moves into new places.
Penny Chai, who is the head of APAC at Sumsub said that companies in services need systems for following rules that can match new rules and new fraud problems.
