Qupital Unveils AI-Driven On-Chain Lending Protocol for E-Commerce Companies

A fintech company based in Hong Kong called Qupital has introduced an AI-driven on-chain lending protocol. This new system is meant to offer more automated trade financing to e-commerce businesses.
The latest protocol uses AI-based credit monitoring, Ethereum contracts and USDC settlement to automate important parts of the lending process. These parts include loan disbursement and repayment.
How Qupital’s On-Chain Lending Protocol Functions
The protocol keeps track of an e-commerce merchants sales and loan performance using Qupital’s AI credit engine. It can change credit exposure in time when business performance changes.
If an e-commerce merchants store metrics go beyond set limits the system can use payment gateway APIs to get the merchants cash flow and apply it to debt.
Qupital said the use of contracts is meant to cut down on manual verification and settlement processes. It also allows financing to work 24/7.
$100 Million On-Chain Financing Pipeline
Qupital said it has handled than $9.5 billion in total trade financing. It currently has a $100 million pipeline for on-chain financing.
The company said the new protocol will help increase its financing abilities. It will also assist e-commerce businesses that operate in different markets around the world.
Qupital’s Series C Investment
This launch comes after Qupitals $300 million Series C investment round that was announced in September 2026.
The company plans to use its technology and financing infrastructure to grow its presence in trade finance. It also wants to provide accessible capital to digital businesses.
Qupital said this step puts the company at the meeting point of DeFi and Real-World Assets. In this space world financial assets are represented and managed on blockchain networks.

Qupital is a fintech company based in Hong Kong. It offers financing solutions for e-commerce and digital businesses. The company helps merchants who sell on platforms, like Amazon, JD.com, Tmall, TikTok Shop and Pinduoduo.
Qupital was started by Winston Wong, who's also the companys CEO. The company has received support from strategic investors. These investors include HSBC, MUFG, Alibaba, MindWorks Capital, M Capital, Greater Bay Area Homeland Development Fund and the Innovation and Technology Ventures Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
