Reme-D Lands US$1.45 Mn Pre-Series A to Advance Molecular Diagnostics

Reme-D develops and manufactures molecular diagnostic solutions that help detect diseases quickly and accurately. The new funding will support the company's growth and expansion.

Reme-D will use the new funding to increase its manufacturing capacity, expand into more markets, and develop new diagnostic products.

The company plans to introduce tests for genetic diseases and cancer. It also wants to make its tests more resistant to high temperatures, making them easier to transport and store in remote areas and healthcare facilities with limited infrastructure.

Founded in 2023 by Salma Tammam, Reme-D develops and manufactures molecular diagnostic tests for diseases such as tuberculosis (TB), HIV, hepatitis, and HPV.

The company focuses on providing affordable and temperature-resistant diagnostic tests, making them easier to use in underserved communities across Africa.
