SailPoint Acquires Entro Security in $200 Million Deal

SailPoint, a company that provides identity security solutions, has announced plans to acquire Entro, an Israeli startup that specializes in securing non-human identities (NHIs) such as AI agents, applications, and machine credentials.

The acquisition will strengthen SailPoint’s recently launched Agentic Fabric platform and support its goal of providing identity security across the entire digital ecosystem.

As businesses increasingly use AI agents, cloud services, and automated workflows, security is no longer just about protecting networks. It is also about controlling who or what can access data, when they can access it, and under what conditions.

By adding Entro’s technology to its platform, SailPoint aims to help customers more easily discover, manage, and secure AI agents, machine identities, and other high-risk digital assets from a single platform.

Mark McClain, CEO and Founder of SailPoint commented: "The recent launch of our Agentic Fabric established a new paradigm for securing autonomous AI agents and non-human identities at scale, including native discovery, governance and protection. By bringing Entro’s powerful and complimentary technology into our SailPoint platform, we will be giving our customers an even bigger advantage: frictionless, complete visibility into every non-human identity and—crucially—the context and credentials they use to access critical corporate data."

Itzik Alvas, Co-Founder and CEO of Entro said:"We built Entro with a clear mission: to secure the modern cloud by discovering and protecting the sheer volume of credentials and non-human identities powering it. As enterprises embrace more automation and agentic workloads, this massive identity layer is only becoming more critical to protect. We are excited to integrate our deep, seamless discovery and lineage mapping engine into SailPoint's comprehensive identity security framework and Agentic Fabric. I believe that together, our combined non-human and AI capabilities will supercharge SailPoint's proven ability to secure every identity, human and non-human, across the global enterprise landscape."

Entro Security was founded in October 2022 by Itzik Alvas, who serves as CEO, and Adam Shriki, the company's CTO.

Since launching, the startup has raised a total of $24 million in funding. Its latest funding round was an $18 million Series A investment led by Dell Technologies Capital. Existing investors StageOne Ventures and Hyperwise Ventures also participated in the round.

SailPoint is a leading identity security company that helps organizations protect access to their systems, applications, and data.

As businesses increasingly use AI agents, software bots, and automated systems, the number of non-human identities now often exceeds the number of human users. SailPoint's AI-powered platform helps companies manage and secure all these identities from a single place.

The platform uses data and risk analysis to ensure that the right people and systems get the right level of access at the right time. By reducing unnecessary permissions and continuously monitoring access risks, SailPoint helps organizations strengthen security and protect against identity-based cyberattacks.

Today, many of the world's largest organizations rely on SailPoint to secure their digital environments and manage identities more effectively.
