Toku Launches Makimoto Flows to Help Developers Build Speech AI Pipelines

Toku Launches Makimoto

Singapore-based AI-powered customer experience company Toku has launched Makimoto Flows, a visual tool that allows developers to build, test, and customize speech AI workflows. Announced on October 21, 2026, the tool is part of the company's open-source conversational AI initiative, Makimoto.

Listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) under the ticker TKU, Toku aims to give developers greater control over how speech AI processes recorded calls. Makimoto Flows is available through the company's Makimoto platform.

How Makimoto Flows Works

Makimoto Flows allows developers to connect different AI functions on a single visual canvas. Users can combine transcription, summarization, and call tagging to create a complete speech AI pipeline and test each stage separately using recorded calls.

The tool includes three main blocks:

  • Transcribe: Converts audio recordings into text using Toku's Kawa transcription API.
  • Summarise: Generates a topic and a short summary from the transcript.
  • Tags: Classifies calls across seven categories, including customer sentiment.

Developers can use the Chained Analysis template to connect these functions with a single click. They can also modify individual blocks and rerun the workflow to compare results.

Each block corresponds to a Makimoto API endpoint. Once a workflow is ready, users can export it as executable Python code for integration into their own applications, including call summaries and call triage systems.

According to Toku, all processing takes place in Singapore. This means audio recordings, transcripts, and analysis results remain within the country.

Toku Expands Its Open-Source AI Initiative

Makimoto Flows builds on Toku's Makimoto initiative, introduced in April 2026 to develop composable conversational AI infrastructure for the Asia-Pacific region.

The company released its Kawa transcription API on July 1, 2026. Summarization and call-tagging endpoints followed in September, allowing developers to access additional speech AI functions through APIs.

Commenting on the launch, Thomas Laboulle, Founder and CEO of Toku, said the tool gives developers control over how voice AI models and individual processing stages work together. He explained that developers can run recorded calls through a pipeline and review each stage's output before deploying it in customer-facing applications.

Free Access for Developers

Developers can create a free account on the Makimoto website and use the Chained Analysis template to test a sample recording or their own call recordings. Each account includes 1,000 free minutes.

Users can also submit feedback directly to the Makimoto team through the platform.

The launch adds a visual development layer to Toku's existing speech AI tools, allowing developers to build and test workflows before integrating them into their applications.
