Xovian Aerospace, a spacetech startup, has raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Piper Serica and TurboStart, with additional support from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) and Eaglewings Ventures.
The company will use the money to develop AI-powered radio frequency (RF) satellite systems and plans to begin space trials by the end of the year.
Founded in 2019 by Ankit Bhateja and Raghav Sharma, Xovian is building an AI-powered "RF intelligence infrastructure." With this full-stack approach, it aims to create its own RF satellites and use AI to turn RF signals into real-time insights.
Xovian says it has built its radio-based hardware entirely in-house, and it is now ready for space launch.

Since its beginning, the startup has been developing this technology with help from grants provided by the Department of Telecommunications, Department of Science and Technology, and IIM Udaipur.
Co-founder Bhateja said that real-time data from satellites can help many industries—such as shipping, aviation, banking, defense, and climate tech—by tracking important assets and understanding local area challenges better.
Xovian plans to start pilot projects and data testing in 2026. Bhateja also mentioned that the company is already talking to businesses in Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East to join these pilot programs next year.
