DeepTech company Albatross Energetics has raised US$1.05 million (around ₹10 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Transition VC.
The company will use the new funding to expand its manufacturing capacity, hire more employees, increase product deployments, and accelerate the development of its next-generation cooling technologies.
Sudarsan M S, Co-founder and CEO, Albatross Energetics, said, “Cooling is one of the fastest-growing energy demands on the planet. In a hot, humid country, a big share of that energy goes into fighting moisture, and not just heat. We spent five years engineering a better way for air conditioning to handle moisture, and we’ve cut the energy that goes into dehumidification by up to half. Today we focus on India’s factories, where the cooling loads are huge and the savings are immediate; and we continue our efforts to extend our technology to cool homes, offices and cities without the climate cost.”
Raiyaan Shingati, Co-founder and Managing Partner, Transition VC, said: “Keeping industry cool and dry takes a huge amount of power, and the old ways are either wasteful or use harsh, costly chemicals. Albatross has found a smarter way: their liquid desiccant-based system that cools and removes moisture together, uses 50 per cent less energy, with chemistry that is safe and long-lasting.”

Founded in 2021 by Sudarsan M S and Srihari B, Albatross Energetics develops energy-efficient air conditioning and dehumidification systems for industrial use.
The company uses its own liquid desiccant technology to remove moisture from the air more efficiently. This helps industries reduce energy use, lower cooling costs, and cut carbon emissions. Its cooling systems are used in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, electronics, batteries, food processing, chemicals, and textiles.
According to the company, controlling humidity is one of the biggest energy challenges in industrial cooling. Its technology is designed to solve this problem more efficiently.
In the future, Albatross plans to expand its cooling technology into commercial buildings and international markets.
