BrowserStack, a $4 billion software testing platform in India, Dublin, Ireland, acquired Bird Eats Bug, a Berlin-based bug reporting solution.
The purchase price was not made public. Through the acquisition, BrowserStack will be able to utilize Bird Eats Bug’s capabilities, which will ultimately lead to the release of Bug Capture, a manual testing solution.
Bird Eats Bug, led by CEO Dan Makarov, offers a bug reporting application that makes it easier to identify and share software problems. Through the automated collection of data, including visual proof, console logs, and system information, teams can enhance their defect reporting procedures and expedite their development cycles.
With the help of BrowserStack’s software testing platform, more than two million tests are run daily across 19 international data centers.

By transferring testing to its cloud, it helps over 50,000 customers, including Microsoft, NVIDIA, Amazon, X, and MongoDB, release software faster. Its technology offers rapid access to more than 20,000 real mobile devices on a cloud infrastructure that is highly dependable and easily expands to meet growing testing requirements.

The more than 500-person internal software engineering team at BrowserStack will keep coming up with new ideas and incorporating Bug Capture into its growing testing platform.
