The pre-Series A investment round led by Piper Serica Angel Fund and international venture capital firm SOSV has garnered $2.5 million for the healthcare and insurtech startup Flashaid.
According to a statement from the startup, early-stage investors ZNL Growth Fund and Z21 Ventures Fund also took part in the funding.

It intends to grow and reach six other cities with the additional funding.
Flashaid was founded by Manoj Gupta and Gunjali Kothari. The company works on exclusive partnerships with insurance carriers to customise products and collaborates with brands and e-commerce platforms to provide insurance to its users. With proprietary pre-underwritten products, open APIs, and embedded solutions, the company says it provides a full-stack health solution.

In order to provide health insurance to the digital India at a reasonable cost, it is also developing an API-first health plan. According to the statement, it is creating a unique distribution channel for retail health plans through a B2B2C platform.
