Gifting platform Udora raises $10 million round

Dubai-based gifting platform Udora has raised US$10 million in a private funding round. The company plans to use this money to grow its business across the Middle East.

It is also preparing to expand into Saudi Arabia later this year, according to Entrepreneur Middle East.

The company will use the new funds to add more products to its platform, improve local features for different markets, and upgrade its technology. This includes using AI tools to give customers more personalized recommendations and make the platform work more smoothly.

Udora plans to launch in Saudi Arabia in the third quarter of 2026, seeing it as an important market because more people there are shopping online and many young consumers are comfortable with digital platforms.

In the UAE, Udora is growing quickly. Its network of sellers increased by 66.5% in 2025, and all orders are fulfilled by local small and medium businesses, showing its support for domestic companies.

The Middle East and North Africa region already contributes about one-third of Udora’s total sales value, making it a key part of the company’s global growth plans.

As it moves forward, Udora is also investing in AI tools to improve operations and customer experience. For example, its customer support chatbot currently handles 41% of customer questions, helping provide faster responses and better service.

With the new funding and its planned rebrand, Udora aims to grow into a global gifting platform. It is focusing on offering localised products, building a strong network of sellers, and using technology to drive its growth.

Founded in 2014 by Slava Bogdan, Udora connects customers with local florists, sweet makers, and small artisan sellers through its platform. It operates in more than 50 markets and over 1,500 cities.

The platform allows small businesses to handle orders directly, so they don’t need to spend money on building their own online systems.
