Tangos AI Raises $20 Mn in Seed Round led by Red Dot Capital Partners

Israeli startup Tangos AI has raised US$20 million in Seed funding. The investment round was led by Red Dot Capital Partners.

The company has built an AI-powered platform that helps banks and financial institutions investigate financial crimes such as fraud and money laundering faster and more accurately.

The funding round also included investments from Leaders VC, Clarim, Venture Israel, SignalFire, Clutch Capital, Selah Ventures, and a strategic investment from Bright Data.

“Financial crime has evolved into a network problem that increasingly exceeds the capacity of traditional investigative processes,” Azoulay said. “Organizations have made tremendous progress in detecting risk, but the investigation process remains one of the largest operational bottlenecks in financial crime prevention. We built Tangos to bring the speed, scale and consistency of autonomous AI to a process that has historically depended on highly manual work.”

"Financial institutions have invested billions of dollars in detection infrastructure over the last decade, but investigations remain one of the most resource-intensive functions across compliance and risk organizations," said Yaniv Stern, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Red Dot Capital Partners. "Tangos has developed a category-defining platform that enables organizations to investigate complex cases more efficiently while maintaining the governance, transparency and evidentiary standards required by regulators."

Founded in 2025 by Eyal Azoulay, Tangos AI is developing AI agents that can automate complex financial crime investigations, helping businesses detect and investigate suspicious activities more efficiently.

The company's founder, Azoulay, has successfully exited three startups in the past, including one that was acquired by BNY.
