Activeport appoints Michael Glynn as Chief Operating & Commercial Officer

Activeport has appointed Michael Glynn as its new Chief Operating and Commercial Officer. He has many years of experience in the telecommunications industry and has worked with companies such as interTouch, Pacific Internet, PIPE Networks, Megaport, Superloop, and PCCW Global during their early growth stages.

These companies later grew into large businesses worth billions of dollars and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in yearly revenue.

Most recently, Michael Glynn spent seven years at PCCW Global helping grow the Console Connect platform into one of the leading and award-winning Network-as-a-Service platforms in the industry.

He led the company’s global market strategy and helped launch services such as Data Centre Interconnect, Connect to Cloud, Multi-Cloud, CloudRouter, Internet on Demand, and the Console Marketplace. Under his leadership, the platform expanded to more than 60 countries and connected over 1,200 data centers worldwide.

Michael Glynn said: "I'm excited to be joining Activeport at such a pivotal moment in the industry. As networks continue evolving towards software-defined and AI-enabled infrastructure, Activeport has built a highly differentiated orchestration platform for providers globally, not just existing networks but key multi-site data centres/infrastructure providers looking to launch their own platforms. I look forward to working with the Board and team to help accelerate Activeport's international growth and 'Activate' networks worldwide through intelligent automation."

The appointment of Michael Glynn further strengthens the leadership team at Activeport as the company continues to grow in areas such as network automation, cloud connectivity, AI infrastructure and global telecom partnerships.

As more service providers look for automated and software-based digital infrastructure solutions, Activeport is working to help carriers, data center operators, and business partners deliver advanced connectivity services on a global scale.

Activeport is becoming a major company in network automation software. Its technology helps telecom companies, data centre operators, and businesses turn their existing networks into smart, software-controlled platforms that customers can manage themselves.

The company’s software works with different types of networks, including fibre, wireless, satellite, and cloud systems. It also supports growing AI and GPU infrastructure needs by providing scalable Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) and edge-to-cloud automation solutions.
