Tiberius Aerospace Secures $500 Mn Contract for Sceptre Precision‑Guided Munition

U.S.-based defense technology company Tiberius Aerospace has secured a $500 million technology collaboration contract to manufacture, license and distribute its Sceptre precision‑guided munition. The agreement marks the scaled deployment of the company’s Defense‑as‑a‑Service model.

The contract is part of an U.S.–U.K. Collaboration aimed at supporting allied defense manufacturing, technology development and supply‑chain resilience.

Tiberius Aerospace’s Defense‑as‑a‑Service Model

Tiberius Aerospace said its Defense‑as‑a‑Service model is designed to allow allied countries to share technology development costs and manufacturing capabilities.

Under the model Tiberius Aerospace. Validates defense technology, which can then be licensed to qualified manufacturers and partner nations. This approach is intended to help participating countries build production capabilities while using a shared technology foundation.

Tiberius Aerospace said the Sceptre contract demonstrates how this model can connect technology development, commercial demand and distributed manufacturing.

Role of GRAIL Platform

At the center of Tiberius Aerospace’s model is GRAIL, an AI‑powered platform developed to connect engineering, suppliers, compliance, manufacturing and defense requirements.

According to Tiberius Aerospace GRAIL is designed to help identify and evaluate technologies, coordinate suppliers manage compliance requirements and support manufacturing activities.

The platform is also intended to provide a framework for bringing technologies from engineering companies and manufacturers into defense programs.

U.S.–U.K. Technology Collaboration

The collaboration is supported by an International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Technical Assistance Agreement between Tiberius Aerospace and a consortium of U.K. Technology partners.

The agreement provides a framework for authorized cooperation across engineering, technology development, testing and industrial participation.

Tiberius Aerospace said the partnership could support a network of allied defense partners by distributing technology expertise and manufacturing capabilities across participating countries.

About Tiberius Aerospace

Tiberius Aerospace company

Tiberius Aerospace is a U.S.-based defense technology company headquartered in Newport Beach, California. Founded in 2022, the company develops advanced defense systems and technologies for the U.S., U.K., and allied nations.

The company was founded by Chad Steelberg and Andy Baynes, with Chad Steelberg serving as Founder and CEO. Tiberius Aerospace focuses on developing next-generation defense capabilities, including precision-guided munitions and AI-powered defense technologies.

Its technology portfolio includes Sceptre, Invictus, and GRAIL. GRAIL is the company's AI-powered platform designed to connect engineering, suppliers, compliance, and manufacturing across defense programs.

Leadership Statements

“The West’s greatest strategic advantage is the freedom to invent, compete and build,” said Chad Steelberg, founder and CEO of Tiberius Aerospace. “Our ambition is to turn that advantage into our greatest weapon: the collective innovative power of the free market. GRAIL connects that ingenuity, while Defense-as-a-Service provides the commercial model to bring it into service. Sceptre is the first scaled manifestation of that vision.”

“Deterrence depends not only on having the right capability, but on maintaining a strong industrial and technological base that can respond rapidly to emerging threats. The collaboration on Sceptre demonstrates the value of bringing together U.K. and U.S. technological expertise to explore advanced artillery technologies and strengthen transatlantic defence cooperation. Initiatives such as this help mature future concepts and reinforce the industrial relationships that underpin alliance advantage,” said General Sir Roly Walker, Chief of the General Staff, British Army.

“Modern conflict has reinforced a fundamental lesson: munitions capacity is essential to sustaining combat power. The United States is stronger when our allies and partners have the industrial capacity to produce interoperable systems at speed and scale, expand production when demand increases, and adapt as battlefield requirements change. Building greater depth, resilience, and responsiveness across the allied industrial base strengthens readiness and deterrence and gives the joint and coalition force the capacity to sustain combat operations and win,” said Admiral (ret.) Gary Roughead, 29th Chief of Naval Operations.
