AMD Appoints Vinay Awasthi as Senior Vice President Senior Vice President APJ

Based in Singapore, Awasthi will lead AMD’s sales strategy and business operations across the APJ region, which is one of the company’s fastest-growing markets.

His role will focus on building stronger relationships with customers, improving partnerships with OEMs and channel partners, and supporting AMD’s business growth across enterprise, cloud, AI, commercial, and consumer markets.

Awasthi is joining AMD with more than 20 years of experience in technology sales and leadership roles around the world. Before this, he worked at Qualcomm as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Compute Sales.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than 20 years at HP, where he held several senior leadership roles at both regional and global levels.

AMD said the appointment reflects its focus on strengthening customer and ecosystem partnerships across the APJ region as it scales operations to address growing market demand.

The appointment shows that AMD is continuing to invest heavily in the Asia Pacific and Japan market as businesses and cloud companies increase their use of AI and advanced computing technologies. The company said its stronger leadership team will help improve customer relationships and build better partnerships across the APJ region.
