Moglix appoints Amit Kumar as MD and chief business officer

Moglix, a B2B industrial commerce and deeptech company has appointed Amit Kumar as its Managing Director and Chief Business Officer.

He has joined the company’s leadership team to help grow new business areas and create more expansion opportunities.

Amit Kumar has more than 20 years of experience in consulting, business management, and enterprise transformation. Before joining Moglix, he worked as Group CEO and Executive Director at Symphony Limited for nearly five years, where he led business growth, improved supply chain operations, and managed major digital transformation projects.

Earlier in his career, Amit Kumar worked with KPMG India, EY, and PwC, where he advised companies in industries such as automotive, FMCG, chemicals, steel, and manufacturing on business strategy, operations, and procurement.

He began his career at GE Aerospace in product development. Later, he co-founded a data analytics startup that focused on business modelling and enterprise analytics solutions.

"We are building the infrastructure the new industrial India runs on. Amit has built and scaled businesses in exactly the conditions and sectors that define this moment," said Rahul Garg, founder and CEO of Moglix and Credlix, in a release.

Commenting on his appointment in the same release, Kumar said, "Being part of Moglix at this stage, contributing to building a disruptor of global scale from India, is an opportunity that does not come often. That is what brought me here."

This is the second major leadership appointment for Moglix in 2026. In March, the company appointed Animesh Srivastava as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Founded in 2015 by Rahul Garg, Moglix operates an online platform that supplies industrial and business products such as electrical equipment, power tools, motors, and medical items. The company has raised around $440 million in funding so far.
